Having become the most modern laboratory in the Baltics, Centrālā Laboratorija continues to introduce new tests that expand the possibilities of laboratory diagnostics and serve as a foundation for effective prevention and treatment.
On May 7, Central Laboratory officially opened the most advanced clinical laboratory in the Baltics at Grēdu iela 4A, Riga, following a €4.2 million investment. This newly automated facility represents one of the company’s most ambitious projects to date and stands among the largest private-sector contributions to Latvia’s healthcare system in recent years.
In early April, the first stage of the “Stirnu buks” trail running series was held in the Tukums region. At the event, the joint “Centrālā laboratorija”, “Veselības centru apvienība” and “Mēness aptieka” loyalty program “Veselība” (“Health”) card tent provided participants with useful health advice, engaging activities, and tea to help stay warm in the windy weather.
Jeļena Storoženko, board member of the Baltic region's most modern clinical laboratory, Central Laboratory, and Associate Professor at Riga Stradiņš University, has received a special award from the Latvian Medical Association (LMA) “Medical Award of the Year 2024” for her significant contribution to medical education and laboratory diagnostics development through the publication of “Laboratory Tests in the Diagnosis of Various Diseases.”
