Since 2011, JSC Olpha has been running the Excellence Scholarship Program to support students of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Riga Stradiņš University (RSU). The program’s goal is to provide financial assistance to the most successful and talented students, while also offering insights into career opportunities within the industry and the company during their studies.
Each year, three top-performing students from their last years of study receive a scholarship. Recipients are selected through a competitive process based on academic performance (with a required average grade above 7.5) and their achievements in research and scientific work. Scholarship recipients are also offered internships at JSC Olpha, giving them the chance to learn about the pharmaceutical manufacturing process and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field. This approach supports the professional development of future specialists and facilitates their integration into the labor market.
JSC Olpha Chairman of the Board, Juris Bundulis, notes that the company is proud to support young pharmacists, calling it a mission-driven profession that brings clear and invaluable benefits to society as a whole.
