The program “Health” (Veselība) has been available to the people of Latvia for three years now

The healthcare program “Health” (Veselība), developed through the collaboration of several healthcare service providers, offers wide range support for people – it can be used when visiting a doctor, undergoing laboratory tests, and purchasing medicines or other pharmacy products. Over the past three years, more than 780,000 clients have joined the loyalty program “Health”, offered by partners “Mēness aptieka”, “Veselības centru apvienība” (VCA), and “Centrālā laboratorija”. According to Nielsen Consumer 2025 data, the “Health” loyalty card is now the most popular in Latvia’s healthcare sector.

“We are committed to ensure that our unique “Health” program supports the people of Latvia in taking care of their health and their family members’ health. With the program customer card “Health”, people gain access to additional health benefits, significant savings, and more convenience in managing their everyday healthcare needs. Our clients greatly value the opportunity to collect and use points when receiving pharmaceutical or healthcare services. Our data shows that, on average, “Mēness aptieka” clients have used 80% of the points they have accumulated. This figure confirms that the points are useful, program is actively used and appreciated. This is especially important for clients with already diagnosed medical conditions, as the card offers additional benefits that support their ongoing therapy and make purchasing medications easier,” said Vilma Fairclough, Chairwoman of the board of “Mēness aptieka”.

Iveta Lāce, Chairwoman of the board of “Veselības centru apvienība”, emphasizes that the program is designed to continuously expand opportunities for an individualized approach to healthcare needs. “Our shared goal is to promote prevention, improve access to treatment, and encourage personal responsibility for health. Together with the partners of the “Health” program, we are also committed to strengthening public health literacy – helping people detect health risks earlier and manage chronic diseases more effectively. A large share of clients use the Veselība program offers, which provides significant support for patients with chronic illnessess by offering broader opportunities in treatment and prevention. We continue to expand the program’s benefits, and the growing number of users demonstrates the public’s strong interest and increasing commitment to their health,” emphasized Iveta Lāce.

With the “Health” loyalty card, clients can use collected points to pay for laboratory tests – making preventive health checks easier and more accessible. “To mark the third anniversary of the program, we are offering a vitamin D test at a specially reduced price. Due to geographical location and climatic conditions, vitamin D deficiency is a widespread problem in Latvia. Moreover, it can initially develop without any symptoms, which is why testing is the only reliable way to accurately determine vitamin D levels in the blood and protect oneself in time from the consequences of deficiency. This offer is just one of many significant examples of the benefits provided by the “Health” program, developed through the partnership of several companies,” said Zane Kaktiņa, Chairwoman of the board of “Centrālā laboratorija”.

With a wide range of healthcare services, the “Health” loyalty program is now available in more than 370 locations across Latvia – at Mēness aptieka (240), Centrālā laboratorija (108), and Veselības centru apvienība (26). The number of program users has grown, increasing by about 150,000 users since last year.

According to 2025 data from Nielsen Consumer, the “Health” loyalty card is the most popular in Latvia’s healthcare sector, ranking just behind the country’s leading retail loyalty cards. Notably, 63% of all pharmacy customers in Latvia report holding a “Health” card.
