“Klīnika EGV” received the Latvia`s strongest companies TOP 500+ award for its contribution to Latvia's human capital

The specialised reproductive health clinic “Klīnika EGV” has received the “Investment in Latvia’s human capital” special award within the TOP 500+ ranking of Latvias strongest companies, published by Dienas Bizness. The award recognises Klīnika EGV for its contribution to improving reproductive health of people in Latvia and for enhancing the accessibility of medical fertility services.

Marta Slaidiņa, Head of Klīnika EGV, gynaecologist and obstetrician, says: “Our greatest satisfaction comes at the moment when parents hold in their arms a child whose journey into this world began with our help. With the professional support and expertise of our clinic’s fertility specialists, more than 1,700 children have been born. To put this into perspective - that is roughly the population of a small Latvian town, such as Priekule, Skrunda or Varakļāni. At a time when the national birth rate is declining, we feel especially strongly that our work is driven by a sense of mission - every baby matters! Not only to their parents and families, but to Latvia as a whole. That is why I am truly pleased that the work of our team has been recognised and acknowledged at the national level.”

Klīnika EGV is a specialised clinic within the Veselības centru apvienība (VCA) and one of Latvia’s leading clinics in the field of reproductive medicine. The clinic brings together a team of outstanding professionals with the expertise to find solutions even in the most complex cases faced by people diagnosed with infertility. For more than 25 years, Klīnika EGV has been helping both local and international patients fulfil their dream of becoming parents. Fifty-six percent of Klīnika EGV patients achieved a successful pregnancy after their first IVF treatment - an impressive result that reflects the professionalism and expertise of the clinic and its team. Among patients under the age of 30, the effectiveness of IVF reaches 73%, which is one of the highest rates in Europe.

Since the establishment of Klīnika EGV, the primary mission of its doctors has been to ensure comprehensive reproductive healthcare and to give the possibility of parenthood to those facing an infertility diagnosis. Anyone can find support from a Klīnika EGV specialist - women, men, couples wishing to have a child, as well as those already expecting a baby.
