For the convenience of customers, VCA will expand the number of digital self-service kiosks in its healthcare centers “Veselības centru apvienība” (VCA),as one of the first private outpatient healthcare service providers in Latvia has introduced digital self-service kiosks, which have already been installed in four healthcare centers for the convenience of its clients. Based on customer feedback, VCA plans to install self-service kiosks in several more healthcare centers this year.
“Providing our customers with convenient, modern healthcare services is important to us, which is why we are introducing digital solutions that make scheduling appointments and receiving services easier. Our experience shows that patients greatly appreciate digital solutions and are increasingly using them, as they make the process more convenient, faster, and simpler. We will continue to invest in digital services to become more efficient and improve the patient journey, from booking an appointment to receiving a service. Moreover, we are pleased to be collaborating with a local Latvian startup in the development of the self-service kiosk system, thereby also supporting the opportunities and growth of other Latvian companies,” says Iveta Lāce, chairwoman of the board at VCA.
In 2017 VCA introduced the electronic appointment system epoliklinika.lv, which allows to easily find the necessary specialist, examination, and available appointment times across all VCA clinics. VCA data shows that every third appointment is made electronically via epoliklinika.lv, and in certain healthcare service areas – such as gynecology, ophthalmology, dermatology, otolaryngology, and gastroenterology – even half of all appointments are now made electronically.
Self-service kiosks are another step in the company’s digital development and have already been installed in the largest VCA healthcare centers – “Pļavnieki,” “Aura,” “Elite,” and “Pulss.” It is planned that in the near future, digital self-service kiosks will also be available to patients in other VCA healthcare centers.
