Central Laboratory in Ikšķile opens its 101st branch, improving access to laboratory tests in the region

20 February 2025

Central Laboratory has expanded its branch network by opening a new sample collection point in Ikšķile, at 4 Skolas Street (entrance from Stacijas Street), in the municipal multifunctional service center. This is Central Laboratory's 101st branch, providing patients and healthcare professionals with more convenient access to high-precision laboratory tests.

“Laboratory tests are the foundation of disease diagnosis, treatment monitoring, and prevention, helping to detect health problems in a timely manner, promoting more effective treatment and improving quality of life. One of our priorities is to ensure that quality laboratory tests are available to every resident of Latvia, now also in Ikšķile and its surroundings,”
emphasized Zane Kaktiņa, Chairwoman of the Board of SIA “Central Laboratory,” at the branch opening.

“I am very pleased that the residents' initiative and desire to have a laboratory branch in Ikšķile has been realized,”
said Aiva Ormane, Head of Ikšķile City and Tīnūži Parish Administration.

Central Laboratory Ikšķile branch offers a full spectrum of laboratory tests, including blood, urine, microbiological, and immunohematology tests. Specialized test packages tailored to the needs of different patient groups are also available. The test packages allow laboratory clients to save money, as they cost less than if each test position were checked separately. Patients are provided with the opportunity to receive laboratory results electronically by authenticating in the digital system. This improves the accessibility of tests and reduces waiting time.

The clients of the Central Laboratory also have the opportunity to sign up for the Veselība loyalty program free of charge, which provides advantageous offers at Central Laboratory branches throughout Latvia, as well as at Veselības centru apvienība polyclinics and Mēness aptieka. The new branch helps patients, as well as general practitioners and doctors of various specialties in Ikšķile and the region, access faster and more efficient laboratory diagnostics. The Central Laboratory's new branch in Ikšķile is open every weekday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
